September was fun. Still a lot to do.

  1. Scanning – the ability to accurately scan a bathroom in the real world and place that scan into a simulation environment (LIDAR).
  2. Simulation – a virtual environment. Basically a computer game where you can clean a bathroom.
  3. VR controls – using off the shelf VR hardware, with some software we wrote, to control the robot in the simulation environment.
  4. Teleoperation – the ability to take the VR controls and apply them to real world robot movement. The idea here is to be able to grab a controller and clean a toilet “air-guitar style” and have the robot replicate those movements over and over again – aka clean the toilet everyday without you doing anything.

TL;DR close to having something that can add value to a cleaning team in the real world.
